“Our Place‟ was an exciting two days of drama, writing and art at Linton Village College.   Six arts facilitators spent two and a half days at the school working with Year 7 (11-12 year olds) exploring what they think about growing up in the local area. Drawing inspiration from the interviews and archive material gathered by the Sharing Stories Project, the students created drama, wrote poetry and made a large artwork.  All students were able to work in all three workshops on the first day, and then chose to focus on one aspect on the second day. They worked towards sharing their work in a multi-media presentation on the afternoon of 18th March.  A short dvd is currently being made of ‘Our Place’ and will be viewable here soon.  Some of the work is shown below – click here to see more…
