The beautiful story quilt that was completed in June is the culmination of six months of sewing, thinking, planning, cups of tea and getting to know our neighbours. Each square has been designed and sewn by different people, showing a place or event in Weston Colville that is special to them. The team of 21 sewers were inspired and assisted by artist Penelope Lutoslawska. The final piece is hung in St Marys Church over the summer months and will move to the Reading Room during the winter.

A number of children also made patches during the summer of 2010 – these have been sewn into this lovely piece by one of their parents, Melanie Stammers. We are grateful to her for all her time spent sewing it together.
